From still to spot —
every frame, art-directed.
Lonesome — AI Production Studio
The same discipline and workflow as a traditional production,
applied to AI‑native production and scaled to budget.
No black boxes: every stage is briefed, directed, and accountable.
A glimpse at what we do.
A glimpse at what we do.
Same pipeline as a shoot.
Ready for your brief.
From brief to masters — six accountable stages, kept simple.
Brief & creative alignment; concept, treatment & key frames; asset creation & lock; generation; post-production; delivery. The same pipeline as a traditional production — applied to AI-native production.
Staying up to date with the tools is part of the craft. The technology behind AI production changes month to month, so we keep the pipeline on the newest models and integrations available — which means every project is made with the best tools there are the day we make it, not the ones we learned last year.
-
Brief & creative alignment
01 · The brief as contract
Objectives, audience, tone, and references are defined upstream of the creative work. The brief is the contract that sets what “good” means for the client.
-
Concept, treatment & key frames
02 · Operational treatment & key frames
Concept built on an operational treatment that lays out narrative beats, storytelling, and mood. Treatment and first key-frame generations are shared and approved. Always under senior creative oversight, never on autopilot. Depending on the project, with in-house direction or full-stage support to an external director.
-
Asset creation, sharing & lock
03 · Pre-production & Pre-production Meeting
From the approved treatment and key-frames, we move into casting, set, and costume work — defining, per project, where to bring in dedicated specialists for each.
- Set design — Location generation and/or sketches.
- Casting vs. character building — Cast real actors as digital doubles (with the usage-rights chain managed), or build them from scratch in tools like Epic MetaHuman Creator: groom, wardrobe, and performance art-directed in-engine, never copied from a real likeness. When needed, we use licensed characters and cleared references with documented chains of title — defensible choices for legal and brand reviews, not grey-area composites.
- Costume design — Moodboard generation and/or sketches.
-
Generation & refinement
04 · Curation & direction
This is the shoot. Where a traditional crew would be on set rolling takes, we’re generating — and the discipline is the same. Notes-driven rounds: we curate and steer the models toward the approved look. Fewer random rolls, more deliberate craft.
-
Picture lock & finishing plan
05 · Lock, grade & deliverables
Offline edit, color grading, conform and online edit; audio mix.
-
Delivery
06 · Masters & documentation
Masters, alternate versions, and asset packages ready for delivery.

Who we are
The most interesting territory is often found beyond the beaten path.
Experience helps you navigate it.
Founded by the teams behind Altamarea Film and Awesome, Lonesome brings together two disciplines that had already been meeting for years: production and creative development. Two complementary perspectives united by the belief that a certain degree of independence creates better conditions for experimentation, clearer thinking and stronger creative work.
Lonesome explores the possibilities offered by generative AI and transforms them into production tools, workflows and visual languages that brands, agencies and creative teams can actually use.
What we bring to this field goes beyond technological knowledge. It is rooted in decades of experience in creative development, visual storytelling and production. Experience gained developing concepts, shaping narratives, collaborating with creatives, managing complex productions and helping ambitious projects move from idea to execution.
We approach generative AI with the same mindset. Curious enough to explore new territory, experienced enough to recognise what has real value and what is simply noise, independent enough to look at things from a different angle without losing sight of the fundamentals.
Together, the production expertise of Altamarea Film and the creative development experience of Awesome allow us to approach generative AI not as a novelty, but as a production language. One that deserves the same ambition, discipline and attention to detail as any other professional production.
Some paths are worth following. Others are worth making.
